PSC Insurance Brokers, part of the Envest Group, is growing its footprint in New Zealand with the with the acquisition of Sepio Insurance and its regional office in Pukekohe.
New Zealand National Manager William O’Brien said the PSC NZ brokerage now had over 40 employees, five office locations and managed more than $60m NZ in Gross Written Premium.
“We are very excited to officially welcome Mark Davie, Ana Maxwell and Boston Davie to our team and look forward to supporting the Sepio clients with access to the broader PSC business and resources,” Mr O’Brien said.
“This opportunity follows in the footsteps of The Ardonagh Group buying PSC and rolling its New Zealand and Australian assets into The Envest Group, which has a clear strategy to build its presence locally.”
Sepio was already well known to the Group, with Mr Davie operating as an authorised representative of PSC Connect for the past eight years. Mark said the timing was right to hand over the day-to-day management of his brokerage and complemented Envest ambitions to grow its NZ PSC brokerage.
“Over the last 5-8 years we’ve worked hard on building the business independently and I’m now looking forward to having a lot more support and enjoying a better work life balance,” he said.
“I’ll be staying on with the business, as will my staff, and we’ll keep the office in Pukekohe (an hour from Auckland) open for business.”
PSC Insurance Broking CEO Ben Goodall said Mark brought a lot of experience and industry knowledge to the PSC business in New Zealand.
“We are looking to grow our scale and expertise in the New Zealand market both organically and with strategic acquisitions and talent hires,” Mr Goodall said.

The Envest Group has several additional acquisitions in the pipeline across New Zealand and continues to invest in platforms and technology to enhance the speed and efficiency of its broking operations.
PSC Insurance Brokers NZ operates offices in Auckland, Christchurch, Hamilton, and Kapiti as well as running a Mandarin speaking team.
Separately, Envest also supports an authorised representative network in New Zealand under the PSC Connect brand. This network is led by David Penfold and forms part of the broader Envest Networks structure.
